INFORMATION ON THE CLUB

Doncaster Bowling Club was formed over 50 years ago. It is situated in J.J.Tully Drive, Doncaster, at the rear of the Manningham Municipal Offices. Membership of approximately 340 (includes both Ladies and Men).

There are two 11 rink greens, able to accommodate 176 bowlers at any one time.

Surrounding the greens are attractive garden beds, comprising a selection of shrubs, perennial and annual plants. Spacious Clubrooms provide off-green facilities for members.

The panoramic view from the Clubrooms takes in a wide sweep of the Yarra Valley and Dividing Range.

As well as lawn bowls, in winter our members may compete in Indoor biased bowls competitions.

In lawn bowls, both Ladies and Men Sections enter teams at all levels in Metropolitan Pennant Competition. Social Bowls of many varieties--- Ladies, Men and Mixed take place on days when Pennant is not played.

Social events ---- dances, meals etc. are encouraged so that members may associate with one another off the greens. The Club is licensed.

We will arrange a time suitable to you for a visit to the Club. In this way you would get an idea if you would like to join the bowling fraternity.
