CARL’S KITCHEN – Doncaster Bowling Club

Eighty five people came to the Italian Night organised by the social club. Carl Giardina as the head chef cooked a bounty of pasta and sauces. His helpers prepared delicious entrees and desserts.

We had two bruschettas, one with tomatoes, basil and onions, and another with the most wonderful homemade roasted capsicums.

Mains were a choice (or all three!) of Fusili Alla Nonna, Penne Alla Bianca, and Spaghetti Alla Byroni. Many diners came back for seconds.

Desserts were Chocolate and Lemon Gelato , then Panettone  with tea or coffee.

Talk and music made the evening such a noisy one. Many happy and fully satisfied people waddled out the door at the end of the evening. 

Thankyou to Carl and the Social club who worked all day decorating, shopping, preparing, cooking, serving and cleaning up. It was a long day for them, but we who attended appreciated their effort and enjoyed the night……Lyn.
