D.B.C. JOINS THE PEACE RUN.

Before the bowls practice game six members joined in the Peace Run as it passed the front entrance of the club rooms. Eileen McCormack, Eileen Kleinert, Anna Pouki, Nicole Carriero, Peter Letos and Lyn Goodman walked with the group up to MC2.

Once there,  the gathering listened to Manningham Councilors, and spokesmen and women from different Faiths and Communities speak of what peace meant to them.

The flaming torch was passed along the line and held aloft as each person spoke. This torch has been held by Nelson Mandela and Muhammad Ali. Peter Letos spoke on behalf of Doncaster Bowls Club.
