GRAND FINAL EVE.
It was a perfect sunny late afternoon for a quick social game, then it was inside for footy food and several games including the ever popular hand ball.
To begin there was a spider competition. Three bowls were so close but Jan Winzler was declared the winner.
Gerda organised the teams for several ends of social bowls.
When the players came inside the cards were fanned for lucky leads, seconds, thirds and skip. Here are the winners.
Many people tried (and failed) at the hand ball competition.
The eventual winners were Greg Perkins and Sandra Dyer. Sandra is a back to back winner, 2023 and 2024.
The two winners for the most balls in the Bunnings bucket were Laurie Hogan and Naomie Reynolds.
A meat tray (thanks Otto and Mauro Bros.) and a cheese tray were won by John Young and Elaine Kleinert.
Supper was typical footy food , party pies, sausage rolls, sausages in bread, hamburgers, chips and to finish off an icecream .
Beth Reid says an enormous thank you to Matt Cursio, Brian Garrett, Henry Goralski and Laurie Hogan for doing all the cooking.ππππ
Another thanks goes to the Social Club Ladies, Beth, Gerda, Fran, Irene, Sandy and Sandra who organised and prepared for the event. ππTo finish the night off thanks Chris Scane for collecting the table rubbish π
Naomie Reynolds won the β closest to the winning margin.β Being a Lions supporter she estimated 11 to the Lions. That completed a perfect day for her, watching the game at the βGβ with her Dad Tom. No one was ever going to guess 60!
Thanks to John Thorburn for the table photos.
