MERLION CLUB CELEBRATES MOON FESTIVAL AT DONCASTER BOWLING CLUB
The Merlion Club had their celebration of the Moon Festival at our venue on Saturday, October 5. In ancient times, mooncakes were a kind of offering to the moon. Over the centuries, these special cakes have become the most popular food of this festival. They are named after the moon goddess who is said to make this kind of cake.
Over 100 people attended this Singapore Moon Festival night and it was a pleasure to see everyone having a great night.
The evening comprised of a delicious meal with plenty of dancing, karaoke moon songs, moon cake eating competition with competitors having their hands tied behind their backs.
A great thing for the club to have two people, Pat and Stan, from this night, attend a session of bowling with John Thorburn.
