PENNANT FINALS …THE WEEKEND TEAMS

This year two Weekend Pennant teams have made the finals.

Here is a summary.
The firsts in Division 2. They were soundly beaten by Kingsbury at Kingsbury in the Section Semi-final. There are no photos because no one offered or bothered to take any. The scores are too embarrassing to publish.😢. On the positive side  this Doncaster 1 team finished 4th on the ladder in their first year back in Division 2.

Below is Doncaster seconds team photo taken before the Saturday game.

So this is the GOOD news.😃 On Saturday Doncaster 2  won their Section Semi-final against MCC 4. Scores were Doncaster 79   MCC 66.

Then on Sunday Doncaster 2 won their Section final against Donvale 2. Scores were Doncaster 84  Donvale 73.

Doncaster 2 is therefore promoted to Division 2 next season!!!!   CONGRATULATIONS. 👏👏 This team now has a bye on Saturday 19 March , but on Sunday 20th they play their Quarter Final against Yarraville/Footscray 3. Bowls Vic will announce the venue soon.
