Method of Scoring:

: If a bowl is within criteria the Skip makes a recording (a tick) on the card for the lead, second & third. The third records the Skips.

BOWLS ARE WITHIN THE CRITERIA IF:

: A draw shot finishes within a mat’s length in front of the Jack or up to 1½ mat’s behind. (Last year’s tick cards will be used with minor changes).

: A Position bowl to be within a mat’s length of Skip’s other instruction.

: Double tick’s for Skips will not be awarded.

: A tick is not rewarded for an up shot or drive that misses the target.

: Unintended Results Do Not Count. If you put a bad bowl down and get a wick, then come into the zone, there is no tick.

JUDGEMENT OF SKIP OR THIRD AS TO WHETHER A BOWL IS WITHIN THE CRITERIA IS FINAL, AND NO DISCUSSION WILL BE ENTERED INTO.

Coaching will be on hand for all bowlers so don’t hesitate to ask the Coaching Staff for advice.
