SO NEAR AND YET SO FAR, and still ONE JUGGERNAUT ROLLS ON AND ON AND ON….. – Doncaster Bowling Club

March 19th 2017.

It was a nail biter playing or watching our firsts in the last ends of their match against Oakleigh South. The teams were equal and then Doncaster drew ahead by 2, with 1 end to go. There was only Creighton Parker’s rink playing. Oakleigh South had several in the head, but there was a small gap. You know what happens with a gap……unfortunately your bowls find it. Doncaster went down by two. Scores were Oakleigh South 70-Doncaster 68.

It was a hard fought game and all the firsts played very very well.

(Please go to ‘photo gallery’ under “2017 Pennant Finals Week End March 18-19th” for more photos of this game.)

MEANWHILE …. the Dream Machine Team, aka Doncaster Side 4 were powering their way to play in the Grand Final next Saturday. They won by 30 points to beat Keilor. Scores were Keilor 59- Doncaster 89.

Watch this space to find out whom they are playing against and where. Come and cheer them on to victory. STOP PRESS, they play Rosanna 3 at Lalor.

CONGRATULATIONS AND A BIG CHEER FOR THE DREAM MACHINE TEAM!!!

Special thanks to Champa Balgovind again for getting all the photos on so quickly.
