THE BOYS FROM “SHARK PARK” CAME UP THE ROAD.

Forty five fit and spirited young men from Doncaster Football Club whose home ground, Schramms Reserve ( also know as Shark Park,) is adjacent to Doncaster Bowls Club came for an evening BBQ and a barefoot bowls game.

They arrived at 6 pm starting with the sausage and hamburger BBQ before progressing onto the green for their coaching, which was supervised by John Nelson, John Thorburn and Peter Caldwell.

Throughout the four hours Peter Hanson and Peter Caldwell were kept busy behind the bar. At least one keg was consumed before 9pm and another was then underway.

Both the Coach and the Captain spoke about the plans for next season and how they should aim to win more games.

Seven people from their Management Group have joined the Bowls Club as social members and Peter Caldwell intends to keep links open between the two clubs as they are our next door neighbours.
