THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON
Yesterday, with the end of the season’s home and away games , there was so much happening on the greens and inside the club rooms.
The weather forcast was typical Melbourne, fine first, then with developing showers and rain. That eventuated, so everyone played straight through until they were saturated and gave up at the 60 necessary ends, giving a point score and a definite win or loose. Yes there was much at stake, with four ladders to contemplate.
Watch for Graham Ferres’s summary of the Pennant News or go into Bowls Victoria web site.
The end of season BBQ was moved inside and was really enjoyed by all the cold soggy players….see the rush below.
My fault….I should have bought more sausages because some people missed out….sorry. Thanks to our cooks and servers, George and Anna Pouki, and Elizabeth Zalkos.
Next the Easter raffle was drawn.
As winner Bev Allibon will be chocolated out,
then Kay Bishop won something for the best ticket seller
and John Morgan won a prize too.
Beth Reid from the Social Committee says that over $300 was raised by the Easter egg raffle. She also tells me over another $300 was raised from the Blumes fashion parade morning. Our Social Committee is on the go again!
So as of today we have three Pennant teams in the finals and each team will be playing at home .
GO DONCASTER!!
