WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEALS ARE BACK

Yes, the popular Wednesday night meals are back albeit in a slightly different formula. They are now monthly, catered for with an  expanded menu, and no Dad jokes!!!

As the Chairman Ash Rowe explained there is one in February, one in March and the final one incorporating the Presentation Night in April.

Last nights inaugural meal was very well attended , with 120 happy smiling faces. The club has not been able to hold a members family and friends social get-to-gether since last March. That’s over 10 months ago.

There was a choice of six main courses and three sweets, and in between there was the usual lucky ticket number and also two bingo games. This lengthened the evening giving plenty of time for chatter and catching up of gossip…..oooops I mean news.

Eileen McCormack and Brian Donovan won the lucky ticket number ,they each received a bottle of wine. (Sorry Brian your photo was deleted during my air drop)

Bingo was won by Graham Ferres (another deleted photo, same reason, sorry Graham) and Sushila Dalipram.  They received special home made relish and a fold up shopping bag both made by Irene Garrett.

Carolyn Wiltshire has done an excellent first time job of organising this evening….it went so well and smoothly, so a big thankyou Carolyn. We could never get by without the barmen, Geoff Bandy and Tak Shum and Ian Golding, the ticket ladies, June Crouch and Carolyn again, and our returning MC Robert Bateup.

Truely a fine night was had by all. We are looking forward to the same numbers in February…remember it is a night off from cooking. I tried to photograph each and every table so see if you can find yourself in the slide show.
