WINNERS AT THE PUBLIC UTILITIES TOURNAMENT

The annual Public Utilities Tournament was played on Sunday 7th March at Moonee Ponds Bowls Club. The tournament is played between members of the ATO, MFB, Vic. Railways, Ansett, and the  Victorian Police.

The ATO team won the tournament which included members of the  Doncaster Bowls club John Thorburn, John Nelson and ex member Chas Sturrock.

The winning team consisted of other bowlers from Elwood, Donvale, Heidelberg Golf, North Balwyn, Preston Reservoir and Strathmore. The ATO has won this event before in 2012, 2016 and 2019.

John Thorburn says ” It was a great day playing against many top Division 2 players.”
