YEAR 10 STUDENTS ARE BACK FOR ANOTHER BOWLS LESSON.

For the second week Doncaster Secondary College came to the Club for a sporting session.

The year 10 students from Doncaster College visited DBC for the second time on Monday 22 March. They were taught how to bowl, to control the bowl and were put through competitive exercises. Close to 180 students came in groups of  50, 50, 25 and 62 from 9.30 am till 3.30pm. The coaches were Paul Holtschke ( Bowls Vic), Peter Hanson, Lou Anastassiou, Tony Maruzzi, John Nelson and John Thorburn.

The teachers suggested that they would organise similar groups for year 11 after Easter. The teachers themselves will also come for a separate barefoot bowls day.
