RINGWOOD MAZDA CHALLENGE
The Ringwood Mazda sponsored 10 week Open Triples Progressive Challenge this year has been won by the Laurie Hogan team with Gus Rosa and William Tan. Laurie was away for the last game which was skippered by supersub Ron Hayes from Donvale. Going into the final round there were two teams clearly in contention; the other being the Matt Cursio team with Peter Hanson and Geoff Bandy. Alas, the Matt Cursio team had to settle for second. Two teams were tied on third, the Gary Baird team with Peter Johnson and Keith Kirby and Peter Demeris team with Dianne Phelan and Carl Giardina. A total of 20 teams entered the event and fortunately fine weather was experienced on most of the Saturdays. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors Ringwood Mazda and to Brian Donovan, the winter Bowls Committee, all the helpers, and to all who participated making this event another success.
