ARTIFICIAL TURF BANKS

The concrete ditch wall around the front green has been a safety issue because the rubber is worn out. So on Sunday September 10th there was a working bee of several members under the guidance of Tim Fewster and David Thomas to cover the ditch with artificial turf. Geoff Bandy, Gary Baird. Peter Caldwell and Ian Hampson all had their assigned jobs.

There was the measuring,

the cutting,

the spreading of the glue,

the placement and attaching of the artificial green turf,

also pinning the turf down,

and almost last the tidying up of the ditch to be done. What was last you might ask? Ha, a well earned beer!

Tim and David started at 9.30am before the others arrived.

The finished product looks so good.
