Australia Day Menzies Community Awards. – Doncaster Bowling Club
The Australia Day Menzies Community Awards ceremony held at the Council Chambers on Friday the 26th of January honoured two Doncaster Bowling Club members.
In front of an audience of over five hundred local residents Brian Donovan and Brian Morris were each presented with a Menzies Award Certificate by the member for Menzies, the Honourable Kevin Andrews MP.
The Awards recognise the valued contribution of ordinary members of our community and celebrate our national identity as Australians. The testimonials read by Mr. Andrews referred to the contributions that both men have made to the success of the Doncaster Bowling Club and to their efforts to engage the wider community in the sport of Lawn Bowling.
