CHINESE COOKING CLASS

“Tuesday morning July 11th was the first special cooking class for the Manningham Chinese Senior Citizens group. They are using the rooms for the duration of a ten week two hour course from 10am till noon. For this first class 25 people attended.

The cook was Sammy, who trained as a pastry chef in Hong Kong, and for this class he produced batches of almond cookies using a portable mixer and a portable oven.

Hosting the Chinese Seniors for these classes is a further example of how the Club is demonstrating how the facilities can be used as a community hub for the area, and such involvement with the community is fully endorsed and supported by the Council, the Manningham Bowls Group and Bowls Victoria.

And in case you were wondering the almond cookies were very tasty!”
