LATTER DAY SAINTS COME TO ENJOY THEMSELVES AGAIN.

February 24th 2019. David Purdon again has encouraged members of his Church to try their hand at lawn bowls. And enjoy themselves they did.

The same as last year they played bare foot bowls then came inside for a meal. Their Bishop John Thatcher and five overseas missionaries accompanied them. David says that the missionaries felt that the evening was one of the best activities they have ever been to in Australia, and a highlight of the year. One missionary comes from Singapore, the others from USA, so I suppose it is a change from 10 pin bowling.

At church on Sunday David said that they all thanked the Club for the evening and Elder Knight the missionary from Utah said it was the best evening he had ever had.

Thanks to David for organising his Members again, and thanks to our helpers on the greens and in the kitchen…….believe me you are appreciated.       Lyn.
