Thankyou to Beth Reid who organised a Monday movie morning. Thirty two ladies and men met to watch Downton Abbey at the Balwyn Theatre and then to eat lunch afterwards. If, going by the noisy talk and laughter at the tables, there was plenty to discuss whilst having sandwiches, cake, coffee and tea.

The movie was set  1927 and was a completion of the TV series. The costuming was beautiful and the jewellery very authentic. Woven into the story line were several true references to what was occurring politically and socially in England at that time. Also what was happening within the Royal family.

It was good that several members brought their friends, I’m sure they found us an easy going bunch…..Lyn.
