RETURN OF TOURNAMENT DAYS

January 22nd saw the first of the weekly Tournament days since before Christmas. The fourth Monday Triples which is sponsored by Jellis Craig Manningham was played in perfect conditions, sunshine with a slight southerly breeze and a mild temperature of 20 degrees.

After the first 13 ends there was a break inside with a chance to win two meat trays donated by Mauro Bros. Butchers in Tunstall Square. They are another of our good sponsors. Lydia and Geoff were the lucky winners of these trays.

Another 14 ends were played against different opponents, then was back inside for the announcement of three sets of winners.
Prize money envelopes were handed over by Andrew Keleher who is a director of Jellis Craig. He promised to buy a drink for anyone who introduced a seller to him within the next month. A drink! that got a laugh.

Two game winners with the most shots up was the team of Brian, Sandra and John.

Two game winners with the second highest score were Dinesh, Laurie and Daryl.

The next prize went to John, Henry and Ian. They won by being first game losers but with the highest score in the second game.

The jackpot was not won . It was -26 , it would be embarrassing to lose by that much anyway…Lyn Goodman.
