THE CLUB FESTIVITY FOR CHRISTMAS 2023

This informal get together was so successful last year that the Social Committee decided to repeat the event again for 2023.

Sixty two members and friends brought plates to share for the grazing table. The food disappeared in a flash. Well it was 6pm and the Ladies (and Men) are good cooks, so there are no photos of the fare.

Santa ( Brian Garrett) and his elves ( Mabel Cuce and Trevor Dawson) appeared

and helped to distribute the hampers to the lucky ticket holders who were; Fred Duthie, Tony Chiodo, Pauline Donovan, Bev Benias, John Nelson, Kevin O’Brien, John Phillips and Lou Anastassiou.

There were four other prizes which were won by Elaine Kleinert, Brian Garrett, Sandra Dyer and Tony Cuce.

There was a Christmas trivia quiz and maybe Aussie carols were sung?

Happy birthday was also sung to Lorraine Holstock whose 90th birthday was on the actual day.

Over the last few years there has been a series of 90th’s; Geoff Allen, Lauris Allen, Kath White, June Crouch, Alton Trufitt, Alan Newstead and Bob Urquhart’s is very soon. It goes to show that bowling is a healthy activity.

Thankyou to the Social Committee Ladies led by Fran Broadfoot for the organising and planning of this obviously happy night.
