THE OCTOBER WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL.

The first of this seasons monthly Wednesday night meals was a success. It was a happy gathering with 65 people attending.

There was plenty of chatter as drinks and tickets for the lucky prize draw were bought before people found their way to the tables to sit with friends.

A roast dinner was served followed by a variety of sweets.

Two lucky raffle prizes were drawn and then two bingo calls were also won. Thanks to Carolyn Wiltshire, Ian Golding and Irene Garrett for organising and running this night.

The next social gathering will be the evening dinner on Melbourne Cup Eve. (There is more information about this night in the “What’s New” column.) Then later in November there will be another Wednesday night meal…. Lyn Goodman.
