WHAT’S BEHIND THE GREEN HEDGE?

Part of the hedge which is on the J.J. Tully Drive side has been cut to waist height. Peter Letos says that the Board of Management decided on this move last year, agreeing that this will enable passing traffic and passers by to see a better, wider and more open view of the greens and the club house. And of course the wonderful game of bowls in progress.

The contractors Reece and Shaun have been hired to trim the western, northern and eastern hedges and to cut back the eastern  hedge between and Abbotts gate and the L.G.W.Petty entry.

The hedge is very thick in the centre. The contractors  are also disposing of the off cuts.
