BOWLING LESSONSThis week over 150 year 10 Doncaster Secondary College students came in five separate  groups over two consecutive days to learn the basics of lawn bowls.

For all the lessons,  Peter Hanson (who  could  have been a teacher, instead of  an accountant) was the primary instructor along with Paul Holtschke from Bowls Australia . Every period went smoothly and nearly all the children enjoyed themselves and improved through each hour and a half session.

The same classes return next week again , same time , same place, to consolidate their skills.

It was wonderful to have so many volunteer instructors because you really need them at a time like this….thanks to all the members in the photo below who are ……Peter Caldwell, Dinesh Balgovind, Matt Cursio, John Thorburn, Henry Goralski, me, John Coles, Ray Rattray-Wood, John Nelson and Peter Hanson.

Thursday March 17th. The year 10 forms/ classes returned for their second lesson, and there was a marked improvement in their performance. My word they have really improved, we are so proud of them and they are of themselves. Here are John Thorburn’s photos.
