BOWLING LESSONS

This has led to a student team being formed, which, after several school lunch time practices they are now playing against other schools.

The Doncaster  3 rink team of fours played their first round robin of 5 ends per game at Ringwood Bowls Club against a team from Vermont .In doing so they won the Eastern Region Championship. 6-4 !! Peter Hanson reckons it was the “ biggest upset in sport.”  The Vermont team which was their opponent included a young player who skips in a Mitcham Bowls Club Pennant team.

Next Thursday May 5th , the team plus their teacher Eugene Pring will journey to Sunbury Bowls club to play in the Regional State Secondary Schools Competition. We are encouraged to go and watch….Lyn Goodman.

Thanks to John Nelson and Peter Hanson for these terrific photos, and good on Ash Rowe, John, Peter Caldwell and Peter Hanson for attending the Ringwood game.
